PMS Status

Since April 2002 we have become a PMS Practice (Personal Medical Services) as opposed to GMS (General Medical Services) and this has enabled us to enhance services provided to our patients as well as staff. Extended opening hours together with some additional as well as new clinics have been set up to help with the growing demand of patient care.

Practice Mission Statement

• The practice aims to provide a high level health care for our patients with the emphasis on the family and the active use of giving good medical advice to our patients which will empower them to both prevent illness and improve their standard of healthcare.
   
• To promote better physical and mental health by offering a planned programme of health promotion and preventative care. This is based on national and local guidelines and is aimed at those most at risk.
   
• To ensure that services are easily accessible, efficient and responsive to the needs of the patient. To maintain a pleasant, safe and efficient working environment for everyone working in the practice.
   
• To include all members of the team in decision-making by encouraging teamwork and good communication.
   
• To ensure that practice income is maximised so that services can be improved and partners and staff are fairly rewarded.
